About Me
I’m Dustin, a production designer and creative problem-solver who first fell in love with live environments at conferences—surrounded by fellow designers swapping ideas, sketches, and war stories over a late-night meal. That spirit of connection still drives me.
This portfolio showcases the immersive atmospheres I help create for worship gatherings, live performances, theater, and events. My work spans lighting design and programming, full AVL system design and integration, set and scenic design, pre-visualization, and the day-to-day leadership that turns a creative vision into a seamless experience for both the team and the audience.
Collaboration is everything. Most of my projects are team efforts—partnering with directors, creative teams, integrators, and production crews to support a bigger story. From black-box theater and regional tours to weekly worship services and multi-million-dollar church installs, I’m grateful for every chance to help craft environments that serve the moment and the people in it.

Lighting Designer & Production Support
Provide lighting design, programming, and technical support for 10–12 high-impact live events and church productions each year. Deliver complete CAD and pre-visualization packages in Vectorworks, Capture, and Depence. Support load-ins, cue calls, and stage operations for clients including Mosaic Pro Events and DC Pro.

Lead Designer
Lead end-to-end AVL system design for 40+ churches nationwide, delivering more than $2.5 million in installed projects. Specialize in Meyer, Allen & Heath, Chauvet, and Blackmagic ecosystems. Create detailed 3D renderings and pre-visualizations that reduce change orders by ~70% and speed client approvals by 5–7 days. Oversee integration teams of 4–8 technicians and consistently finish projects on or ahead of schedule and under budget.

Direct a full-time crew of 6 plus 80+ volunteers to deliver weekend services for 1,000+ attendees with 99% on-time starts. Spearheaded more than $2 million in AVL equipment upgrades, cutting annual maintenance costs by 15% while making systems more volunteer-friendly. Built standardized training programs in audio, video, and lighting that reduced new volunteer onboarding from 6 weeks to 10 days. Oversee creative set design and 3D modeling for all major seasonal productions.
